Stephen Knowles studied and practiced graphic design before returning to Iowa State University in 1989 to receive a Masters of Architecture. Today, Stephen leads the Walsh Bishop Studio as design principal. The WB Studio engages cultural context to encourage a dialogue about the capacity of materials, assemblies and routines to diverge from contemporary building culture.

The majority of my day is in the public spaces (sadly) provided by our culture. My private realm is off-line.
